The Children’s Foundation Celebrates Cinco De Mayo in style by supporting children in need
LOVELAND, CO — The Children’s Foundation International’s first annual Fiesta De La Danza will be held on Thursday, May 5th at the Embassy Suites, 4705 Clydesdale Pkwy, at 6pm. The event, a Cinco de Mayo benefit for the Casa Hogar Los Angelitos Orphanage and Children’s Home, will feature Ballet Folklorio Los Angelitos with dancers from Casa Hogar and the Manzanillo community, silent and live auctions, as well as a variety of Mexican food and drinks.
The Children’s Foundation will use the resources raised from the celebration to directly assist with costs associated with Casa Hogar Los Angelitos, located in Manzanillo, Colima, Mexico, which was founded in 1996 by Nancy and Dave Nystrom in response to the devastating poverty and neglect they saw children in the area living with on a daily basis. Funds will also be used to provide, education, emotional, physical and inspirational support for the children living at the home.
The mission of the home is to reach out to children in desperate situations and help them to develop their educational potential, gain emotional stability, hope for the future and provide tools so that they can become positive, productive and self-fulfilled members of society as they build personal self-esteem with respect for others.
